That just means that I'll never sell it
Actually I put those prices on my pieces in a moment of madness. I should edit all of them and remove them

Nope, unless you open a print account, you may get $2.00 here and there. But thats not likely to solve your problems.

Well I am not dirt poor
I am in a student economy but someday I'll have a 9 to 5 job
I have been considering a prints account. However, they don't seem to sell well. Do you have one?

I have one, I havent sold that many.
It really depends on how much art you produce, and how good of quality it is.

I've sold one. But I'm not surprised. I don't do very well with my art.

Love the simplistic backgrounds you have on most of your work. Just makes the beautiful ladies you've chosen to paint the main focus instead of other random shit.

I guess that is the idea
It also looks better than something very saturated. Not too mention that I am kind of lazy to paint lots of details

Great job with this! You did really nice work in capturing the emotion of the positioning, and making sure that came through. The warm colors and bright yellow also contrasts wonderfully with the bit of black hair.

Well, I am a traditional artist. That means that I do everything by hand. Usually it takes me like 2 days for a piece that size working at a slow pace.
I am working right now in another piece. It is way bigger. Probably I will post a photo next Sunday. It is taking me more than a week to complete it. This because I usually paint with the tv on, coming and going from the internet, and stuff like that. Painting is my hobby, so I take it easy

Wow, that seems pretty fast. I'm amazed at how fast some people can produce something that looks good. Bob Ross blows my mind (1/2 hour!?).
I'll keep my eye out next Sunday lol, I would get way too distracted on the dA forums to get any painting done if I did it that way

I know what you mean. Sometimes the forums move slowly, so it gives you time. Or I just take longer to reply.
Bod Ross usually paints only landscapes, and not based in a "real" landscape. To try to paint a person using a model is way harder.
I think that if I dedicated more time to painting I could get really good at doing things fast. However, I don't find any thrill in being fast. I paint to relax. It is not my way of living, so I don't put too much pressure on me, lol.

True, lol. I hadn't thought of it that way.
The arts are a wonderful way to relax

They are indeed. It is also a need to say something you cannot explain with words. I started painting because I wanted to say something and I was unable to find the words. My first paintings were full of symbolism. Lately I just have painted people. However, I think I will go back to paint more than just faces.

This really stands out! Love the yellow... and that's big for me because I normally despise yellow... WITH A PASSION. Love the expression on the face, and the way the flowery-things (I am good with words) seem to be "above" the painting. POPPING OUT, you know. Really nice composition. Your border is also interesting because it's not just a straight, plain black border though it sort of looks like that at first... you soon notice it has highlights and A BUMP. Nice touch.
Love it!
