I think I interpretted 'counter' wrongly.. e 3 e According to ~miimiiakatsuki (the translator of the blank meme) It was supposed to mean the character doing what they wouldn't normally do, or not being in character.

I was being smart and drew him countering an insult or something hurrrr -shot-
Insulting him will just confuse him more. -shotshot-
