GEMSONA TIIIIIIME
So a friend of mine needed a ref of my gemsona Tiger Eye as part of an art trade - so I finally got around to whipping up something quick as an updated outfit ref for the modern day Earth-dwelling Tiger Eye!!
bio:
Gem: Tiger Eye, Tiger's Eye
name/nicknames: Will go by Tiger Eye, T.E., Tee, Tig. Mostly just called Tiger Eye by those who know her
gender identity: genderfluid
pronouns: they/them, xey/xem, or she/her pronouns acceptable. Usually just referred to as she for simplicity's sake.
gem placement: on the chest/sternum. Above where boobs would be, if she had any, lol.
weapon: staff. (modern day)
any strengths/abilities?: good at shapeshifting, often uses it for whimsy or feeling more comfortable more than fighting purposes.
fighting style: more evasive and reliant on using the opponent's strengths and weaknesses against them rather than actually hurting them herself.
dance style: currently undecided, something erratic and high-energy. If she dances like I do, it's mostly headbanging and/or improv relying strongly on the limb movements.
Favorite things to do: make jokes, explore, climb everywhere, act like a cat, pester her best gemfriend Rubellite , ">:3c"
Homeworld/Earth Gem?: Former Homeworld gem, has declared herself an Earth gem and unofficial ally of the Crystal Gems after being abandoned by Homeworld. (though she is unaware of the Crystal Gems's existence for a loooooong time and probably only hears of them after the Lapis incident, if I had to guess.)

The tail and ears are not permanent details of her design, her form technically does not have them. However she frequently shapeshifts so that she has them because she prefers having them and feels like she can express herself better. She can also shapeshift other animal parts, which she has and will do on occasion. But the tiger/cat details are most comfortable for her. Her fangs and slit pupils are natural to her though.

Since she's my sona, she takes after some characteristics of mine. Most interesting about her development is that while she's taken a lot from traits I relate with Amethyst, she's overall much more upbeat than any of my other sonas, and definitely the punster of all my sonas. (why do each of my different sonas take on different aspects of myself? who knowwwwws )

ignore how heavily lopsided her gem looks, I just suck at drawing decent parallelograms and diamonds for some reason. -_-

Also, I've always heard that the stone was called a Tiger Eye, but since joining the SU fandom I only ever see it called Tiger's Eye??? It's such a small difference but is so weird to me. Does it matter which one I use when talking about the stone itself? (Tee is gonna be a singular tiger eye no matter what so LOL) Is it some weird regional thing? Did I just mishear the name when I first learned it as a kid or something and it stuck???? Any thoughts on the matter?)
