Omar Ortiz is an absolute brilliant artist. And is a huge influence of mine. His work is absolutely astonishing and it was a great pleasure working on this beautiful painting. Believe it or not this was my 5th ever oil painting. It is 18x24 and a replica of Ortiz's "Female Deity in Red" I spent roughly 8-9 months carefully adjusting every brushstroke to capture the beauty of the original painting. its really amazing ... i've never worked with oil because i really don't know how to use them and m sure its really hard to handle oil colors ... bravo

Yeah, my first time was just a couple years ago. Well worth it! Acrylics are nice but you'll never get the vibrancy from them that you get with oil.
