Ive found this unfinished and forgotten so I finally got back to this.
The dagger is too small, but I left it as it was, since it makes me chuckle anytime I realize this. It's like a switchblade version and it does make sense if only that kind of weapon was allowed to be carried on a person inboard a federation ship.

This work is from the last year, and back then, many disliked Mariner for her attitude and the way she'd treated Boimler.
A person, requesting this is among these, so they want to see this character no longer smug or patronizing people around her. That's a part of scene they wrote when Mariner, Boimler and an oc had a holodeck trip and the first forces the rest to enjoy her program which could be seen in ep1.
