im a huge fan of mass effect space combat, but the games unfortunately didnt have any player involvement in it. im obviously not the only one, someone else went out and made a modfor sins of the solar empire that turnes everything mass effect: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgo4Ht…

this is WAY beyond any ordinary mod, it has its own game modes, campaign, tech trees, ships, weapons, factions... everything you could possibly expect form a RTS mass effect space combat game.

and there is just something totally badass about facing reapers... the idea of using concentrated firepower of dozens of ships from multiple species to take down incredibly powerful dreadnaught sized planet killing monstrosities is just totally badass. they even promised that the reapers would in fact be extremely overpowered (though still a playable multiplayer faction) and simply cost balanced, plus using geth and collectors as cheaper and somewhat more expendable units.
