not as autumny as i wanted but we can just say she's further into the dense trees in this.

as Nepenthe approaches the wall, she feels her spirit waning. though her body itches to stay far from the strangely placed stones, she climbs onto them, taking advantage of a tumble of rocks to reach the top. she glances around to survey the new view, and notices her foliage wilting, petals falling as she smoothed over the flat surface of the wall, leaving behind a trail of deadening leaves and plants. where does this path lead, she wonders?
