Description
I guess I play too much wrestling games. Not to mention I've played just as enough Soulcalibur III. And I also guess there's no need to explain why I've played these games all along the way.So I made this.
Technically, it would be a nice setup for a Create-A-Wrester/Character in a NES game or a Flash dress-upper, but for now, it's only a stupid "create a 16x24 8-bit character sprite" chart which doesn't have any kind of really practical use yet. Nevertheless, you are allowed to make little avatars with this one as much as you want (I strongly advise you to read the Terms of Use, though).
So, what makes this character creation system unique? Our pixelated dummy himself is split onto three parts: head, torso and legs. The torso is probably the most "flexible" part of the body in terms of editing so far: each torso outfit has a variation depending on whether you use long hair or not and what color it is; with each divided onto four subgroups rolling around character's default face emotion and the availability of fingerless gloves on his hands.
It's basically possible to use in the actual 8-bit game development, with some cuts here and there, but then you may need several CHR banks for, let's say, only one or two torso outfits because... Well, you DO need some animation, right? Plus, with even more cutting and programming tricks, you can even create a fighting/wrestling game where four players are participating at the same time (a-la Guilty Gear Isuka or Tornado Tag Team matches at those pro wrestling events).
If you want to get started now, I strongly advise you to download the chart. Yes, NOW. Only then you will read the manual and/or look at the examples below to get an understanding of how the job is done.
Random facts time!
* I was too eager to submit this chart to dA, so I had to replace the bits of unfinished logo to the header you see now.
* There are stance and basic punch animations, but only as a concept.

I know, I know. But that's the purpose: it's small, it's fully customizeable, it's possible to fit on GameBoy.
Oh, and the word "small" is appearanly spelled with two "L"s!
