This drawing is dedicated to a wonderful writer, Caeria , and it's an illustration for one of the chapters of her story, Pet Project.Initially, I wanted to draw the entire scene but I changed my mind.

I really loved this drawing the first time I saw it, but something spoke to me and told me to view it upside down. From that perspective you can put yourself in either Snape's or Hermione's POV.

This is my favorite Snape story too and I'm so happy that Caeria is continuing it. You picked a really pivotal scene to illustrate and your choice to focus in on just the hands is so effective.

The added detail is wonderful. I especially like that little scar on his thumb. And this is probably a silly thing to notice, but I'm glad you have Hermione with short nails. The Hermione in my head would have neatly trimmed and well-taken care of hands, but she wouldn't go for long nails or fancy polishes.
