That's helpful but it also helps to look up images online for a better perspective. Maybe use them for drawing emblems as part of the backgrounds like this one.

Hm, i guess. I usually don't put that much thought into backgrounds cuz i wanna keep the focus on the character
But i guess i try to keep them different so they don't all look the same x3

One way to do both is to highlight the characters in black lines and keep the backgrounds wither with colored lines or none at all. That's usually how I do it and it's kind of how some artists and animators do it.
