Great picture! I love it!
However, I don't know if it would be correct to say that astromech's communicate with binary. They can certainly understand binary, but Wookiepedia says: "Binary was also used as a programming language for devices that did not have the artificial intelligence of droids, such as binary loadlifters and moisture vaporators."
Droids use a language of beeps, boops, and whistles known as droidspeak. BB-8 spoke in 27th generation droidspeak, a compressed variant of standard droidspeak.

If you use Poser or DAZ Studio, we have all the Astromech models available for free: R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, Chopper, and BB-8. And of course, they're fully rigged and scaled to the correct size within Poser.
