This pic was inspired by a few fanfictions I can't recall the name of. This is a scene that took place in several different fanfictions and never ceased to amuse me. L and Light are working on the Kira case, Light without his memories. Matsuda asks a stupid question and Light or L answers him with an equally stupid and random answer... I made them smirk at each other in a "That was a good one" way, but usually in the fanfics one of them disapproves of the action >.>Okay here's the deal. I've been doing this piece for the last month and it seemed like an eternity to me but I'm actually quite proud with the outcome. There are a few things that dissapoint me but if I point them out you people will notice them more easily so I'd rather not

Awesome lines and anime shading! Wow! Would you please tell me the settings you used to draw the lines? I've got a tablet, but it just doesn't seem to give that effect for the lines.
And, were there meant to be handcuffs?

Hey! Well the settings......? I never changed them they are just the default ones. I think it's more about the brush, maybe? I used the classic brush, the first one that appears at the top of the list of brushes, 100% hardness. (sounds bad XD)
Once I finished the drawing, I changed the opacity of some of the lines... I've got a whole layer for each part of the drawing that has a different colour, for example, a whole layer for the hair's lines, for the shirt's lines, and for the jeans' lines, for example.
But yeah, basically it's the 100% hardness thing about the brush and then it's all about your motor skills e.e I myself shake a terrible lot but I managed e.e. Also, I think tablets are easier for left handed people. I'm ambidextrous and I use both hands equally but I couldn't help but notice how difficult it is for me to draw firm lines with my right hand >.<
And about the handcuffs, >_>;;. Well I guess they weren't meant to be there! XD Sorry e.e I completely forgot about them from the start. Not even when I planned out the whole thing did I think about the handcuffs. So it's not that I was going to do them and forgot to XD;

He probably doesn't even know if he's been insulted or not.
I've always liked him,

He pisses me off more than amusing me but I still think he's somewhat important.....and I don't mean exactly to the end of the anime because that'd be redundant, but all those headquarter scenes would be pretty boring and serious without dear Matsuda-san.

I love drawing L because his appearance really inspires me. I wouldn't submit a piece in which L is meant to look as if taken from the anime but looks funny. 'Cause that would just deem the whole effort as useless. Seriously, one of the most important things of a DN piece is that L's appearance has to be well captured by the artist e.e

It's definitely worth the time! : D The coloring is just like the anime.
(is Raito's eyes the things that you find dissapointing? They look a bit unfocused. I wouldn't think he's looking back at L if you haven't said it in the artist's comment. )
