I read Grimm's Fairy Tales Cinderella and I liked this scene. In the story the bird gives Cinderella her outfits. This is how I imagined the bird ^^It's kinda like, Disney meets "real fairytale", so the Cinderella is a bit Disney-ish and the bird kinda like something you could see in a fairytale book.

I made it a bit darker, because it always looks lighter in DA than my photoshop :/

Ever since I read the original Cinderella, the Disney version always bugs me XD even more that if someone were to make a movie of the Grimm's version, no one would buy it as actual Cinderella

Interesting! I definitely think you got what you were after - and I can also see the bird as a form of the Fairy Godmother in the Disney version the way Flora, Fauna and Merriweather have bird forms. (Faves and recommends) Keep it up!

I think it'd look a bit better though if you used something other than brown to shade everything, though. Like, she kinda pops too much from the background and it might help if you used a small amount of green shading on her too. :3

X3 I have the same problem, so you're not alone.
Just remember that it makes a drawing much more interesting if your shading isn't a general skin tone color or whatever. Try purple, blue, etc.
