Edit: Ack. The left hind leg shouldn't have that much fur. Oops xDOhmigoodness. That took awhile x33
So, this is my first actual deviation where I used my tablet for the majority of it. The lineart you've seen before, and I used to to experiment with colouring fur.
It worked out pretty well, I think!
Now I just have to work on getting my lineart done with the tablet xD My lines are still really shakey!

Bah xDD I suck at pencils, got better since before but I still don't equal you in quality. OH! Talking about pencils, I finished coloring that page of the comic by hand (we really need to find a title): I just need to scan it. Coloring it digitally would've been massively too long.
Compared to people like Picasso, we're flies x0 But considering where we started and where we're at now, particularly you who has improved in humongous leaps all through these years, I think it's justified x333 And everyone has to practice! Those people who draw super well didn't get there automatically!

Whoa. This is one of the few pictures I've seen recently that look really good close-up. The texture and the lighting are fantastic! Oh gosh, for some reason I'm having deja vu over this, and I don't know why...but awesome! How did you do the fur, anyway? It looks fantastic--clumped together, shadows and highlights. Good paw anatomy.

It's pretty easy, actually! I used a tutorial by *kesame to help me out with the shading part, and just switched it up a little bit.

It's hard! It's taken me a looong time to even get this far, and my lineart is still terrible xD The lines on this one were done with pen on paper.
It feels really different, that's for sure!
