It is amazing how something that is decaying can still be beautiful and haunting at the same time.

This must be one of the very best shots I've seen of an abandoned building. It's perfect! I love the different textures and colours. I love looking at this!

yes, i used a tripod and a long shutterspeed (2 seconds i think). I took 3 pictures with different exposures (-2/0/+2) and put them together as one HDR file

tiago13pereira In reply to Urbex [2008-02-25 02:20:00 +0000 UTC]

i have to do some HDR shots myself, they give the photos so much depth and strong colors! fantastic work! once again!

It reminds me of one of the apartments I was checking out before, except the ceiling was intact, the carpets were frayed, and it had some florescent lights that flickered

Urbex In reply to Zophar81 [2008-01-11 22:04:23 +0000 UTC]

and you didn't take the appartment ? lol ....

Nope.
Unfortunately the last unit was taken before classes started, otherwise I would have had a decent loft as it looks better than the hallways.

Very interesting lighting. It supports the feeling of decay and abandonment. Me, as a first person shooter enthusiast feel at home right away .

Very nice work!

I've been there last week.
Pretty neat location, but I was expecting more from it. Too bad all the machinery was gone, making it virtually empty.

Urbex In reply to arioch84 [2007-10-24 14:24:51 +0000 UTC]

if you like to see more machinery, i think the factory opposite (Du Parc) still contains some good stuff. However be careful as there is virtually no light (very dark) and some holes in the floor.

Thanks for the warning.

We didn't have the time to go check it out that day.
But it's certainly on my to-do list!

thank you so much. I used a tripod and took three pictures with different expozures, put them all on top of each other in PSP XI and that was it.

The atmosphere in the factory was great, can't wait to go back again
