Description
Here's a simple reference sheet for my Qetasi character, Valmir. I didn't want to clutter it with words, so I'll explain the numbered colours here:

I. Underbelly / Ear hair
II. First coat / Ear hair
III. Second coat / Stripes over first coat
IV. Stripes over second coat / Tail / Bottom section of mane / Dorsal stripe
V. Middle section of mane
VI. Tail and leg tips / Face / Upper section of mane
VII. Hooves / Horn / Inner ear
VIII. Eyes

His markings are symmetrical on both sides. He also has a horse-like pupil, but I didn't draw it on here.

I enjoyed working on the linework more than anything else. Eventually I will develop his personality and history, but for now he's a fun bit of variety when I'm bored with horses.

Reference used for the pose, but I'm unsure as to where I found the picture.
