I have another suggestion, when the pony is at its lowest you can make it land and walk on land! and also, can you make a earth pony swim?

well i've started adding manes and that so im not adding any more animations as of yet but theres a rainbow dash demo on my youtube showing landing and flying

Lovely!

I noticed that it's always the hoof furthest away which is streched out while flying fast. It would be cool if it was consistently the left or the right hoof. It's a minor thing, you don't need to worry about it if you don't want to, but personally I'm always impressed by attention to detail.

perhaps approach hasbo with a demo and see if they will help you, as long as you are giving them a % of your profits you'd be fine, I think this game has real potential

the controls are bad, cause i try to go north and lower myself ( ctrl + w) and it closes the tab D: i know its just IE being gay, but could u make the controls more browser friendly? other than that, looks amazing.

Project's looking awesome, dude!
A bit difficult to differentiate whether you're flying high or further on screen at certain parts/ heights, but not really a big deal.

The project's probably still a while from being done, but do you guys have an estimated/ goal time for when this will be out?
Like Idk, before or after season 1 ends?

The controls took me a second for me to get a good handle on but I soon got the hang of it. I enjoyed it though. Also loved the theme, reminds me of something from Tetris Attack, I used to love that game! If only there was a pony based one XD

This is some nice work on the sprites

Not that you're currently looking at physics, but it feels a tad odd that you can fly over houses and trees at the same altitude you walk down paths. I feel like there should be a perimeter around dwellings so that you can't fly over them unless you're at a specific altitude - and that the shadow vanishes when you fly over buildings since it would look odd to have the shadow at the same level when passing over houses as when passing over trails - and I'd presume it would be inexplicably difficult to map the shadow dynamics correctly when passing over complex objects or water. And being able to pass behind objects would pretty neat as well - currently passing over the tree looks like you're gaining altitude since you're still in front of it, but the shadow follows you making the tree appear flat on the ground.

This is great. I just have one problem with it because the left and right flying sprites are mirrored. It means that when flying quickly the pony changes which hoof is held out front. You can't fly in a circle and maintain your stance. It just feels unnatural to me.

I think they can solve this by just making both hooves stretch forward, like how Dash flies in the show most of the time.

It's good, but for the love of god, please make it something other than ctrl to lower yourself, or if you're sticking with ctrl then make it the arrow keys. W, A, S, and D all have functions in browsers and if people want to fly efficiently they'll want to be able to push directions while they raise/lower their pony.

I have to agree with this, ctrl is very awkward to hit, especially if you are also holding shift. Even something as simple as letting alt lower you as well will work wonders.

Granted, Alt also has its uses within the browser and could still cause a little bit of conflict. I'm thinking maybe Q and E to lower and raise. That would be easily accessible if the control scheme sticks with WASD and I don't think it'd be as cramped as you may think.

I'm assuming that flying will be stopped upon entering a cottage, right? Since currently the flying sprite seems to be higher than the door even at the lowest point.

Maybe in later versions. This is already way more fun than it should be. Even if all you can do is chase Hummingway around. And listen to the music.

Flying is pretty dang fun, I hope the keys can be reassigned though. So far, the game seems like it'd work perfectly with a controller.

...might have to look into buying a wired 360 controller sometime...

Seeing my sprites in here is pretty uplifting to be honest. I think I've just been tempted into getting back to work. Let's be honest, only having one type of bird is boring! You clearly need a veritable cornucopia of aviary creatures patrolling your equestrian skies.

I can't make any promises, but I'll try getting some work done tomorrow, maybe something like this is what I needed to get things back together.

Custom tune by our music guy Chain Algorithm its fluttershys theme this is an old version though hes extended it and added to it since this one
