Description It's not a series! I deny any possibility of series-ness! And don't ask where B is. If I had a shred of sanity, I would do A, B, and C, and call it good, but being me, I will probably do A, C, and W or Q or something, thereby destroying any possibility of selling them as a coherent set. But that's okay. I've made peace with my lunacy, and the Band of Badger and Binturong Barbarians Brandishing Broadswords wasn't working out anyway.

Capybaras are dreadfully underrepresented in art. Also, I got to use "corpulent" and how often does that come up? Note the Couple of Cavies in the foreground, better known as guinea pigs, but which I was unable to pass up. I loved my guinea pigs dearly, but god help me, they were not bright.*

Anyway! Digital, painter 7, wacom tablet. Prints available, both the small for $10 and the jumbo for $20--I may do a limited edition run of 17 x 22 or something, if I get wildly ambitious. Both sizes will be available at Anthrocon, or you can order 'em here--just drop a note!

*And by "not bright" I mean "like a cuddly, cheerful eggplant that purrs."

It reminds me of a book my son had when he was small. It started with: One Old Oxford Ox Opulently eating Oysters!

Wait, have you read Animalia by Graeme Base? You must have. That was totally one of my favorite books as a child. (I do love how much the cockerels are enjoying themselves.)

Do a full alphabet and get it published as a children's book. I think you are onto something good here!

I love this! I agree the Capybaras are not drawn very much, I've been planning on drawing one for ages and forgot until today. How many guinea pigs do you have? I have a good few (actually about 25), I breed them.

I don't actually have any--had two when I was a kid, but these days, the cat's enough for me.

Ha ha. I love it. I've been meaning to do a drawing of Capys but haven't had the chance yet. Not to mention reference images of them are hard to come by and our zoo doesn't have any.

And my piggies are a little more than "a cuddly, cheerful eggplant that purrs." I will agree, though, that they are not the smartest animals at times.

I love Capybaras and their rectangular shaped heads... do you think their brains are rectangular? Plus their name is rather impressive sounding, is it not? Hoorah for obscure animals and large voabularies

This is a fav, obviously

This brings back so many memories of children's A-Z books. Ahh, nostalgia. I love it, oh so much. The colouring is fantastic, and the expressions on all of those crazy animals' faces are wonderful. I really like your artist comments, too. I like it when an artist puts effort into their description.

They're essentially large guinea pigs anyway, right? Capybaras that is. I drew a bunch at the National Zoo the other day... but they're really difficult. Stupid mounds of tubby furlump.

I just got back from a sort of longish break of not looking at DA for some reason that's probably not even a good one if I could just figure out what it was but, anyway, it's nice to see that the level of sanity in some corners of DA is exactly as it were last time I had a peek

logic, whit the abc, you could call "abc" a series and end it there, since the alphabet is sometime referd to as the "a, b, c's" ya know?

i could have made that sound more intelligent, but i'm running on fonly four pots of no-sleep juice.....
how bout..... bouncing bananas bothereing band-aid covered bees !!!!!!
