Description It's not a series! I deny any possibility of series-ness! And don't ask where B is. If I had a shred of sanity, I would do A, B, and C, and call it good, but being me, I will probably do A, C, and W or Q or something, thereby destroying any possibility of selling them as a coherent set. But that's okay. I've made peace with my lunacy, and the Band of Badger and Binturong Barbarians Brandishing Broadswords wasn't working out anyway.

Capybaras are dreadfully underrepresented in art. Also, I got to use "corpulent" and how often does that come up? Note the Couple of Cavies in the foreground, better known as guinea pigs, but which I was unable to pass up. I loved my guinea pigs dearly, but god help me, they were not bright.*

Anyway! Digital, painter 7, wacom tablet. Prints available, both the small for $10 and the jumbo for $20--I may do a limited edition run of 17 x 22 or something, if I get wildly ambitious. Both sizes will be available at Anthrocon, or you can order 'em here--just drop a note!

*And by "not bright" I mean "like a cuddly, cheerful eggplant that purrs."

I think this, a-hem, "non-series," really encourages literacy in a very positive light!

Obscure, vague and wonderfull. It also has that classic book inlay kind of feel. If you did the whole alfabet, got a publisher to put in the stores I'd buy it for sure.

This is captivating and adorable and I love it to bits.

Something involving tapirs would be my vote for another of these. Though, try coming up with words that begin with 'T'.

I don't know, a Band of Badger and Binturong Barbarians Brandishing Broadswords seems like it would work very well.

Ok man, you're just hitting on all the animal-obsessions from my youth! First the axlotls, and now the capybara.

I love this series of obsurced animal art you've done. I would've liked to have seen a binturong, they're one of my favorite animals, then again, I like a lot of strange animals.

And the cavy on the left has captured my soul with his stare.

I have no luck with guinea pigs. They always squeak at me and then try to crawl into my shirt. I mean, we love each other, but I have no desire to have something that large sleeping (and defecating) in my bra. Rats, maybe.

As always, I love it. <3

Not enuf capybaras, true.

Guinea pigs can purr?

Can't say as I've ever seen or heard that... still, as defense mechanisms go, a good purr is one way of ensuring that you don't end up as a pair of mittens.

It's the singing that makes the capybara feel at peace with his or her captivity. I knew it. >D

Seriously though. Your insanity is loved. (By MEEEE! Ahahahahaaaa!)

Still love the sepia/brownness, and how it looks all. Stylish.

i think it would work better as a series if it wasnt all the letters. and itd be funny if you threw in some obscure old english letters or something, too.
