It's a manatee. Err. Obviously.
I like doing cards occasionally--the teeny format lets you do a close-cropped portrait without guilt.

A manatee! They're very slow and cumbersome, so when people speed down the canals and rivers here on their boats, sometimes they run over manatees

Aww, the poor big guy. I really like the dark outline in conjunction with the realistic coloring. He looks very somber. I also like the muted, limited color pallette. The play of the light on his back and shoulder is a nice detail as well.
I like the project too. If I had money to spare I'd buy a deck.

Manatees are one of my favorite animals and you have blown me away with the detail here.
It's beautiful. I like how you did a darker tone too, because most artists like to put them in clearer water and with lots of kelp nearby.
This puts a different spin on it and makes it look that much more like the real thing.
