Description
I woke up in the middle of the night because I had a sudden image of perching orandas, slid out of bed and drew a nearly incomprehensible squiggle on a post-it note, which fortunately included the note "orandas on a branch" or I would have had no idea what I'd been thinking.I did not realize what a grumpy looking little fish the oranda is, but man, they're one disgruntled little fish.
12 x 12 acrylic on gessoboard, original for sale, prints available for $10 and $20 plus shipping. Send a note or visit [link] for details.

...You have the weirdest dreams...though that may be where you get most of your inspiration for Digger from.

My orandas are not talented enough to perch on anything. Well, maybe the plastic plants in the tank. But that's about it. :/
I like your work.

Ahh I love this! Their expressions are terrific How can I buy a print? I would imagine the original is a lot of money so I would have to go with a print

I think I would be disgruntled, too, if I had that thing on my head all the time. XD
What a silly picture. I love it.

Many of the local Chinese Restaurants have these in a tank, including the one we tend to frequent. As a kid, I used to be quite terrified, I recall, because it looked to me as if the orange bit was their brains spilling out of their heads.
Of course, a few years later we found I needed glasses. And though my eyes without them aren't *THAT* bad, it is rather difficult to make out details: Like for example, whether that bulgy orange stuff is brain, or just *LOOKS* like brain. I can't help but think that I might have been spared a bit of trauma if we had discovered that earlier.

I had one of those when I was little - they are indeed sulky, grumpy wee things.
This is awesome, though.
So imaginative!
