Description
Elves are healers of magical creatures, sure. Well, the cute or pretty ones anyway. If a big-eyed baby manticore gets orphaned, there are elves there before the first tear hits the ground. If a hippogriff gets a hangnail, elves will wait on it hand and foot until it's too fat to fly. And if a unicorn gets a stone in its hoof--dear lord, call out the national guard, there'll be elves peeling grapes and fetching pillows at all hours, the finest elven podiatrists will be called in, it's a crisis.*But if a troll hurts itself? Yep, there's only one elf you call in then, our patient and long-suffering friend, Sings-to-Trees.

*At least one exceedingly clever warlord was known to exploit this tendency by turning a half-dozen unicorns with head-colds loose immediately before a battle, causing a total defection by the enemy as they all rushed to offer laps and hold hankies.

There always seems to be loads of uncaring people in the world. Sure, everyone will help the cute children, but what about the elderly? Everyone wants to give a new fuzzy kitten a home, but what about the alley cats? By taking a new approach to an age-old virtue, normally reserved for saints and religious figures, Sings-to-Trees has won us all over. We should all learn how to be more like him.
I've been watching your art for some time now, and this just feels like a whole new level for you. Even though I'm older, I'd want to read Sings-to-Trees children's books because the story is so fascinating. I feel spellbound. I look forward to more adventures with Sings-to-Trees. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

i love the attention you gave to the trolls eyes they look very sheep/goat like which i find intriquing because you don't see that type of eye done very often

I heartily agree with Athelind's point of view. I find myself wanting to share this image with some of the medical personnel of my husband's civilian ICU unit and military medical unit. Sings-to-Trees seems to be their kind of person.
