I don't know. I mean, I really don't know. Sometimes I have a pretty good idea, but this one...nope. Not a clue. Not a name, not a story, not a snippet of possible context. I like cardinals. This is probably obvious by now. I generally prefer my unicorns more evil--eating small mammals with squishy glee is ideal--but I suppose they're allowed to hang out with cardinals occasionally when they're off the clock.Acrylic, 24 x 24 on canvas. I realize it's a bit late for you to make any changes, but the horn looks a little off to me, more side-on than three quarters angle. I dunno, tho, on second thought. Might just be my eyes being odd.
Besides that, I adore the picture. The cardinal is gorgeous. I always love how you paint fur/feathers. And y'never know, it might just be luring the cardinal in so it can squoosh it beneath its large, horsey teeth. Or maybe the cardinal is evil as well and they're conspiring to lure in virgins together. Because if you go by disney, all virgins enjoy singing with little birds as well as frolicing with unicorns in meadows.

Hmm, you might be right...actually, I think most of the horn is right, but the final twist where it meets the skull doesn't go far enough around...Thanks for catching that! (Not that I'll ever get around to fixing it, but at least I can spot it for next time!)
