Exactly what it says on the tin. A reference for the Engineer. And he's blue now.
suggested a new color-palette for him that I actually quite liked as it made him look more like a My Little Pony and not just any cartoon unicorn with more or less natural colors. (Like I've said before I usually get pulled towards natural colors because they're harder to completely screw up as I'm not that good at color-coordination despite what one of my previous employed liked to think...)
Doing the hair that way in his reference probably wasn't the best idea but I couldn't help myself! He's so pretty... His markings are the same as ever though.

The Engineer is a timepony and one of Timetraveller Dinky's teachers.
He also likes to costumize TARDISes and was the pony who made Shooting Star's chameleon circuit (which allows Shooting Star to transform into a necklace when not in use, rather than attempting to blend into the environment...she does that too, but as a necklace she can be carried.)
He's an old grump in his final incarnation.
