How I imagine the “Find Familiar” spell actually works in DnD…
The material description says it requires “10 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs that must be consumed by fire in a brass brazier”
In the last session my warlock’s familiar sadly died (I belive it was a Fireball that hit her, she failed her saving throw but with 7 HP it wouldn't have mattered even if she succeeded.) so this session I had to recast the spell to get her back.
This resulted in a “How to Cook Your Dragon”-joke, which was actually a lot less morbid than it sounds…
