Another one from what seems like a long time ago. And another one that was a spur-of-the-moment snap...hence the hideous background. But, I'm okay with it. I like the image as a whole.Dave.

Ok, yes, this one, I like. Even with the background, it is a great shot. Funny how some of the best ones are spur of the moment things. His expression is priceless. Perfect lighting for it too...

the background isn't pretty, but it does help to ground the photo in reality. i mean, it comes off like a spontaneous shot and it makes the look on his face read as more honest and genuine. love the lighting

personally i think the background just makes it more....i don't know how to say like in those fashion magazine that mimic reality but doesn't because the person usually is the one out of place because of extra cool clothes. I like his face it's really softened by the light but he could be thinking of something mischievous as well.

i dig this - having his face half-covered makes the photo look really juvenile but Dave's calm appearance makes it look like you've been taking his picture for years.
