The Pristis crew helped out the people in Nisalvini to evacuate from the flooded areas while they were traveling as a visiting merchant ship named Stormdrake... but before that they have to decide on some quality disguise. Since Clarion Call, Emas had been making glamours for the crew members for future use. They decided to come up for each other's disguise, definitely not another way to destroy your friendship.

It was so cool for the pristis members to be like "hey let's come up with each other's disguise", I want to know exactly who inflicted memes and torture upon whom with these disguises, aka who was forced to wear colors/designs they hated

They sit around and decided to come up with the best disguise and notably you can tell their aesthetic ability/logic/racial discrimination i mean preference
Navin's logic is that "oh, opposite color of orange and red is blue. Rayne's hair is too flashy so wrap it up. Add a wooden stick to confuse the class maybe."
Meanwhile Sava is just making super fancy and fashionable changes
