I heard the other day that in the UK pearlescent filament lightbulbs are being phased out in favour of more efficient bulbs. And Edison (screw) thread bulbs have been used less and less for years. This is my tribute to such a simple mass produced product that has been so useful and universally accepted.Related content

Yeah my family's starting to use less and less of these older ones. Still, these were a major contribution to the technological advancements we have today.
