“Wait. So you’re telling me that Shitty Glasses put her newest creation, which are somehow god damned mini titans, in your fucking room, just to test how much time they need to eat your WHOLE.FUCKING.BEDROOM?!”

“Um…” You didn’t know what to say but it was the tragedy that happened to your bedroom. You nodded, sighing because of that mad scientist and her experiments. You didn’t know what to do but go to your Corporal, who was also your childhood friend as a thug. He sighed and then asked you : “where are you gonna sleep now then?” which was also a question you wanted to ask yourself.

“I have no idea, the Commander told me to ask you…” You looked away, ashamed of letting Hanji get into your private room and destroying it so easily. Levi looked at you with his usual cold eyes and asked, “So who are you gonna sleep with? You’ve to share a room with someone.”, though you could see concern in his eyes, due to knowing him for so many years. You thought about it and said the dreaded words in your mind. “I don’t know…”

Levi pressed the bridge of his nose, clicking his tongue and dismissed you to do your own things while he looked for a room you could occupy for the meantime, until your bedroom is “fixed”.

It was already night time and yet, you haven’t seen Levi anywhere telling you where you can temporarily sleep. You were getting a bit panicky due to not getting a room though it was almost going to be midnight. ‘Am I going to sleep in the canteen? Or maybe the kitchen… or worse…. HANJI’S LABORATORY?! Or maybe you were going to sleep in the stable. Yes, the stable was so much better than Hanji’s La-‘

“Hey (Name), Are you okay or do you need the hospital?” You heard that oh so familiar voice you needed to hear and immediately hugged him. “ARMIN! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE YOUR ROOM WITH ME!”
“What? Why?!” He nearly shouted, shocked at your very question. You then explained everything to him and he remained silent and started thinking. “Why don’t you go to the Corporal’s office now? I think he has settled it, if not, you may have my room! Of course, under the permission of the Corporal! I don’t mind accompanying you to his office.” He smiled sweetly.

Armin and you walked towards Levi’s office and went in after the signal was given. “Levi, where am I going to sleep tonight..? I’m tired…” Levi’s eyes widened a bit when he saw Armin and dismissed him. “(Name), do you mind if you share the room with me? My room is bigger than most. I don’t think Eyebrows is awake now and you definitely won’t want to share the room with Shitty Glasses… So what do you say?”

“YES. I WILL. I mean.. um… sorry Levi… I’m a bit crazy after all that happened” Which was true, no judging. Don’t judge people in people’s minds. Wait what? Levi slightly nodded his head and told you to take his bed and get some spare clothes from his closet. You thanked him, though you knew you shouldn’t take other people’s bed. Since you had lived with Levi during his thug life for a bit, you were already used to his clean habits and also “inherited” a bit of OCD as well.

You took some clean clothes from his closet, promising to wash it well in your head and went for a bath. You folded up your dirty clothes and decided to wash it tomorrow morning and wore Levi’s uniform which was almost your size, only bigger by a little.

You lay down on the bed for around an hour but can’t seem to be able to sleep, thinking about how you’ll get your valuables back, specially the clothes that Levi gave you while you were still a thug with Levi, Isabel and Farlan. You missed them dearly but it couldn’t be helped. At least you
had Levi.

You walked towards Levi’s office, wanting to talk to him. You had always talked to him when you couldn’t sleep so why stop now? You opened the door gently enough not to make a sound and poked your head into the room. It was quiet, not a sound to be heard. You looked towards the big pile of paperwork that could be found on Levi’s test, covering Levi from your sight.

You opened the door big enough to slip yourself in and closed the door before walking towards the hidden Levi. You took a chair as well, to sit beside Levi and looked as his paperwork. Since you were there already, you might as well help him do some. You looked over the paperwork to find a half-awake Levi, preparing himself for combat.

“E-eh… (Name) it’s just you?” a shocked looking Levi appeared in your eyes, though he slowly slid down back onto his chair, going back to his original slumped position and started picking his pen up, doing his paperwork. You silently sat down, knowing that Levi liked the silence among both of you, and helping him with his pile of paperwork.

“Couldn’t sleep again?” You heard the male ask, you simply said yes, knowing you didn’t need eye contact with him because he was still focused on his paperwork. He sighed and got up from his seat. “I’ll get tea.” He stated and left, leaving you in the cold, empty room that was once filled with his warmth. You looked towards the paperwork, determined to do it until tiredness took over your determination. You felt that you were in debt to Levi, after picking you up from the beggars, he had taken you under his wing.

Clank!

“Drink up, it’ll make you feel better.” The concerned voice stated, disguised with his cold and uncaring voice. You hummed in response, finishing half of the pile you had on your side, though it wasn’t even a quarter of Levi’s total paperwork. “Thinking about them?” he asked, though you knew he actually missed them dearly as somewhat siblings.

There was pattering to be heard outside the windows, staring outside of the room. “Yeah… I wasn’t prepared for it. I could have saved them”

“No one was. Don’t blame yourself.”

“You could say that to yourself. Petra and the rest didn’t die because of you either.”

“…They died under my command…”

“You saved more people than ‘killing’ people.”

“(Name)… do you miss all of them?”

“… it hurts, it hurts to pass by the rooms of them.”

The rain was getting heavier, a thunderstorm maybe. It covered some of your soft sobs however the tears that fell couldn’t be hidden; they were the love for everyone.

You felt something light and warm on your head, ruffling your hair and messing it up. You looked down, rather ashamed of crying over something trivial. To you it wasn’t trivial at all, to others such as Levi, it was. Seeing his squad members die so many times, it became trivial; a scene that kept repeating in his head.

“It’s okay (Name). You’re okay now.”

The petting continued, up until you stopped crying, ending in his arms. His warmth always comforted you, though you wouldn’t admit it. He always thought he was bad at comforting people but he was perfectly great at it. “Go get some sleep, keep your mind off everything alright? I’ll sleep on the couch tonight.” You nodded and went to bed more easily this time, floating into dreams with Farlan, Isabel, Levi and yourself.

“(Name)!!! YOU GET YOUR ROOM BACK!” Hanji ran up to you, screaming it and frightening the hell out of you. “God alright woman, don’t need to shout.” You felt a little reluctant, finally getting to spend some time with Levi. You went back to your previous room anyway, finding the special amulet in an envelope with a little note inside. You smiled, your mood had lightened up immediately. Now you knew what you could do and nearly danced around the room like an idiot.
