Description
this is a tutorial of how to make your own startup screen with an animated progress bari used to do this when i was a kid but i could never figure out how to make that animated progress bar until after some time i got myself a new toy, i installed the good old win 95 and started costumizing it and rememberd the logo.sys thing and i made my own screen, than i thought that it would be nice to have that scroling progress bar on it so i went to google and did my reaserch and finaly found out how to make that progress bar
here's the stratup screen in action stupid DA emoticons are ruining the link so you have to copy it to your adress bar and remove the "Remove this" things hRemove thisttp://youtube.com/watch?v=Remove thisDHwCMPxMbOA here's the sys file for the bouncing ball animation [link]

this comment section quickly turns into a nostalgia-driven reminiscing place for old people.
Very cool tutorial, man. Very thorough. Although, not a lot of people use Win95 anymore

I remember these days! I think I still have some older boot images laying around on a disc somewhere. Aside from being just a Win9x tutorial, this also makes a good intro to palette animation

95? The horror....THE HORROR!!!! I had always wondered how you do that though, cause I wanted my own cool startup screen. I can't even bother with that now, cause I got a Mac and it's not so willing to let you sneak a peek under its access panel if ya know what I mean.

Amazing.
Thanks for this tut. I always wondered how to do that w/o buying software.
