really good photograph! reminds me of the lead singer from muse... without the bit of hair top right i think the photo would be half of what it is, weird how that works.

i like how the face is frame by both the white of the background and the black of his top on the left hand side.

Wow.. I love it. Even the blur, it makes it a little more.. thoughtful?..

It's just one of those shots where you can't stop staring at the expression.. I can hear the wheels turning. Too cool.

another killer shot! the lighting again...
and the expression, you're right its great and gose well with the whole shot - the angle the contrast -- there so much that makes this a great pic and i think that you might have them all right here.

very nice! the high contrast with the light coming in so sharply from his left really enhances your capturing his expression. i like the softness of the image, too, which i guess is what some of the people above think is a focus problem.

As far as portraits go, this is as close to perfect as I've seen. May I suggest scanning the negative? (do you have access to a flatbed scanner with a transparency adapter?)

I really really like this shot. The composition and lighting are beautiful

This reminds me of a photo of Radiohead guitarist Collin Greenwood in the original The Bends sleeve. It's not exactly a revelation, that photo, and its quality was purposely set down for the sleeve, blurry, scratched, and slightly stretched. But I always loved the look on his face as he brooded over his guitar...It's the exact same expression I see here. Quality of photo isn't necessarily the most important thing, of course, and that's the case here...The expression right there is what stays with me.
