Description Remember my original Thumper sketch? Well I decided to color it today. Rabbits are the cutest creatures ever, and damn Warner Brothers for messing Bugs up. Anyway, at least Thumper's still adorable.

Yes, the background isn't any good, but whatever ...

Made using Photoshop CS3 and a Pen tablet. Approximately 1 hour.

I'm glad you colored the picture from the sketch.

It totally looks like him in the film when colored!

Alright. First off eyes are the most important thing in any drawing in my opinion. You can convey so much with correct placement and you can destroy a piece with an incorrect placement. His left eye, right eye from his vantage point, is on top of his cheek. It looks as if it is falling off. You have his stomach retreating on our left and moving forward on our right, but his right foot is retreating, It looks very strange. His feet need more definition. You have them as very simple shapes. Although we see them that way from a distance they have definition up close and since this is a portrait you need to show that.

As far as the colors go they're not the best. He looks very smooth, almost like glass or something. I understand it's like a cell from a movie, but make him look atleast a little furry. I have two points of advice. Push the values a lot more and define your shadows and highlights better.

Now overall advice. You're an artist. You have the right to make a character anyway you want. You can change anything and make them how you want them. Don't just do a simple reproduction. Make it interesting. Separate yourself from the pack.

All right, thanks for all your help. I will pay more attention to the details next time ... the eyes, feet, and stomach/overall shape and perspective. Thanks!
