Wowimstupid, cant believe i uploaded the wrong file, this is the completed piece.. i forgot i did some minor edits at the end.. otlBeen working on this since 1-2month bak, challenge myself with background and lighting. My OC Fearris, a Gloavert , my original specie.
Was suppose to be for a Holiday Event, but couldnt think of a good composition, so i just went along and made it whatever i wanted.. otl
Few things might be hard to tell, the floating leaves are magic based. Light from the window is moon light lawl, whats a light source idk,
aaand hes suppose to be in a log cabin. Thanks for looking! Comments/suggestions/critiques are much appreciated!

You did a nice job with the figure and the depth of the figure he feels as though he had shape to him, but your lighting is a little hard to understand. The light on the figure looks as if it comes from the side rather than from behind him as the light from the window implies. I don't think that this impedes the image but I think it is worth looking into when making your next image. The composition is rather nice and there is a nice mood to the image that creates a feeling of a chill. this carries through with the frost on the window the blue lighting and the single lonely tree. The space of the image is an awkward flat space upon further looking with the figure close to this flat wall and window. The space behind the window is not cramped which is nice for the viewer as we get a breif relief from the cramped space before being brought back into it. Now though I say cramped space I do mean this as a complement the space being close and feeling a little crowded allows the viewer to closer identify with the figure and feel apart of his story and space, which is almost lonely. I'm not sure if that is the kind of critique you desired but It's what I read, you can ignore it. But this is a lovely piece.
