I love all the hidden, creepy details in this, and the concept has such an "80's fantasy movie" feel to it, like something out of a dramatic girl's cartoon

I seriously love the misty dark feeling of this piece. 
I have a question, what is the origin of the forgotten forest? Like...how did it come to be?...sorry if this is a durp question. I always love reading about other peoples fantasy worlds.
