This is from 5 months ago, reposting from FA~Sketchy ref sheet for kediil as they are making an Australian cockroach ([i]periplaneta australasiae[/i]) costume, and I can't wait to see the results of it
Speaking with them about it has made me consider making my own of Ingrid one day. This was a lot of fun. :3

Wow. Your invertebrate character designs are stunning. It's so nice and shiny, like a piece of candy. Seeing this as a costume would be awesome.
I am working on designs for humanoid cockroaches for about 3 years now (I am slow as heck when it comes to drawings, and not to mention lazy...). I keep going back to scrap all the time, changing style and design because I feel I can't make them lifelike and dynamic enough. My preferred design is similar to yours.
I should draw more upload-worthy stuff ...
