Description
I finally managed, after years and years of failed attempts, to make a roach girl I am satisfied with. Sheβs an orange head cockroach, eublaberus posticus, complete with rorschach-like pronotum pattern, white false eyespots and creamy yellow wings. She still needs workβ¦ I want to add in a second pair of legs and her trochanters need some work. She has arolium on her hands and feet, the little suction cups that help a roach to climb even smooth surfaces. However, the actual roach can't climb glass, I like to imagine her being able to do so :>I have a colony of these nearing 100 or so, and I love them <3

Very nice work. I'm trying to come up with an anthropomorphic cockroach design myself. I like how recognizable she is as still being an insect. Can tell you really put in your research.

also it might look good if you gave her a third set of limbs on her chest that small designed for tearing open pray or something!

The species of roach that she is cannot climb glass. I might be surprised if I weren't pretty much an armchair entomologist and know a great deal more than the average person about roaches

it mustve been dificult to take something as harshly judged as a cocaroach and bring it into a better judgement of beauty

I pretty much live my life trying to do just that with most all insects, but especially roaches. I keep 22 different species, and none are invasive They're beautiful, fascinating, intelligent and they help people a lot more than most realize!

This is positively gorgeous. To bring a concept that is not only difficult, but often a phobia and a source of the "crawling skin" feeling to others into this light.. Is more than an accomplishment. :'3
Great work!

You know I'm not fond of bugs as you are, and while I may not find this character sexy, you've definitely succeeded in making a realistic anthro insect that doesn't creep me out.
As in, if she were real, I'd hang around and ask questions, as opposed to avoiding her in fear.

Ok... I gotta say though, and I love this Vera, but... the double signature and fat watermark is very off putting >_> it almost ruins the picture for me.

I've had enough people steal my artwork and try to crappily photoshop out the signature that I feel I have every right to add a watermark. It's much less obnoxious than the dA watermark, if you ask me. It's off-putting when people complain about that.

Wasn't trying to be confronting, and I understand, I remember following many of your journals involving theft. You do have every right to put whatever you want on your pictures, I wasn't disputing that.
