I had a character similar to DokuDoki ‘s well known Core!Frisk that id never drawn before now, but had written about 6 chapters of story for. I gave up the idea a long time ago when Core!Frisk started going around, cause id gotten beat to the punch, didn't want to be called an idea thief, and frankly started to wonder if i'd just seen Core!Frisk before it got popular and had just made up my own idea from it or something, since they were similar ideas.
Void and Core have a lot of similarities, so i never did much with Void- always was worried about being accused of copying and what now. But i finally went and drew Void and then just drew Core, too, because i honestly love both of their designs.
There's a lot of general differences in these two- Void is naturally in the void and Core is in the Omega Timeline, Void still has a semblance of a soul in them while Core is scattered, even miniscule differences like Core has endlessness in their eyes and Core just is ‘empty’ and the depth only reaches to the back of the skull. Core is a projection on dimensions that can regenerate themself and Void is more of a spectral creature that orients more about astral planes and jumping between them. Core is much more of a Pacifist-route-Frisk and more “Frisk” like, while Void lacks much of their Determination after their accident with the core, now, and may resort to violence much easier as they were from a Neutral Route.

noting the artwork- i know it isnt really canon that Core Frisk has transparent whites, but i thought it was a nice metaphor for how they arent really 'there', ya know? meanwhile, Void naturally an Canonically has transparent patches, as a part of their glitchy design.

honestly, id like to think these two would be an interesting team. i think they both struggle with not being seen as 'frisks' and more so as 'void' and 'core', and not having their own timeline versions of sans and papyrus and toriel and the others anymore. thy also face a big issue of error and other cross-timeline-issues, and like picking up stragglers they cross to save them from the worse kinds of timelines they find (at least, thats how Void save people, only interacting with the worst of the worst timelines or those attacked by error or such).

I have a story ive written but never posted for Void, L'appel du vide, its at about 17 chapters now. i write it occasionally, i still adore Void's concept. im still considering posting it, honestly.
