I've been playing around with a more painterly style lately, thought I'd make a few adopts to test how it looks on ponies. Comment to claim, I can take both points and paypal.You can find the images used in the mosaics here or here .

This was done in Photoshop, but with a specific brush. I used one of the last brushes in one of these packs, can't remember which [it's a square and bristly one, 'Sampled brush 19 5', it's 150px]:

It's been a while since I've bought a design from you, are your dragon/pony species(I know the name of them is Quatzalli, or something to that effect, but I wanted to keep my non existent grammar dignity intact) still going good?

Great! And, well, I've almost abandoned the quetzalli, to be honest >.> Haven't uploaded anything related to them lately.
I'm finishing up a few customs q's though, so there'll be new members of the species soon.
I'm also thinking about revamping the species, making it all much more simple and open.

Maybe you could do something like what Koday is doing with all of their species, do common traits as open to create, and then anything higher is pay to create?

Oh, I meant 'open' as in no division between common and uncommon traits so designing them is easier and freer. I don't think I'd make them open exactly bc of that [rarity tiers let species owner remain sort of in control, but with an open species I'd be scared it could get too chaotic].
I'd go the MYO route [both paid and obtained through design contests] for that.

Quetzalli update + customsTo the ones that asked for customs as repayment for the whole calendar fiasco- so sorry for the wait! As you can see, I've been working hard on finding a style that I'm happy with and hopefully the end results are worth it!
Here you can see the difference two months's worth of improvement that I managed between the first sketch for Saya-Alphaling's custom quetzalli and the final version.
Customs for quetzalli like these are available for $18 [comment here if you're interested], and I'm planning on updating the species itself, too:Β less rarity tiers, little to no restricted traits, etc. so that it's easier for me to make designs, and hopefully for you guys, too... if there's enough interest in the species for something like a MYO contest to start off a group.
