Description Acrylic on canvas. 16x20". Here is my landscape assignment from class. As I said in the journal, I still have to complete it. The view does not have a good sense of where he or she is in relation to the objects in the painting. And, though I have already tried putting in some blues in other parts of it to balance it out, I may still need to add more blue. Let me know what you think. I want to improve the soft quality of the clouds and make them less solid-looking. And, I will be adding in a foreground where the water gets dark in the corner. Total time so far: approx. 12 hrs.

I am sad for having neglected this painting for so long! This is an absolutely gorgeous painting! I love the lone blue tree, and how you were able to tie in those blue hues subtly into the rest of the painting. I don't know what it is exactly, but can definitely recognize your paint strokes in this painting. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but the flow and movement in this piece is very you. You're amazing with acrylics, I even got a wow from one of my roommates!

It happens 2 me lots of times that If i wana focus on the subject, sometimes balancing everything out in the drawing defeats this purpose. I just hate it when a piece becomes overworked. Great work tho. Love this one...

This is so surreal! It is absolutely fantastic. I cannot deal with acrylic at all, so it is even more fantastic. To be absolutely nit-picky, the clouds on the top right looks a bit...solid? Other than that, I see nothing wrong at all!

Thanks. I know, those darn clouds! I don't have any real experience painting clouds. The only other thing I've painted clouds in is the purple and blue painting you can find in my gallery...I don't remember what I called it--some random name I came up with at the last moment I'm sure. I appreciate your critique! I hope to learn enough about painting that I will be able to paint something fantastically "perfect" in my taste someday. For now, this is what I've got.
Thanks again!
