stewing alone doesn't do anyone favors - unless if it's Hollow, of course. being alone means he isn't ruining someone's day by his mere presence.

he took up residence on the stone wall bordering the pond, fully ignoring the white glittering snow settling around his shoulders, gazing into the murky waters below. normally he would not dare coming near bodies of water, but the icy blanket coating the surface gave him the courage to tolerate it for the time being. deep in his thoughts of anger and resentment, plagued by loneliness, he almost did not hear the soft pitter-patter of approaching footsteps. he was quite surprised that the pulsing vibrational bitterness emanating from himself did not immediately drive away the stranger, and he was even more surprised to feel the energy signature lower and pulsing and similar to his own - a trespasser, then. gazing in their direction, he was greeted with the sight of a little esk, holding aloft a strange icy item. for him? himself, who was cruel and angry? could they not feel how ugly and hateful he is?

Hollow tentatively reached out and grasped it, manipulating it with his paws. a gift? for him to hold?
