slightly outdated reference sheet but it works for now

additional information about Mourning that aren't really important for drawing them

- they/them/it pronouns, they don't have genitals & no concept of gender either

- when they 'talk', it sounds like TV static. when they scream, it sounds like very loud speaker feedback or what happens when something goes wrong with a microphone. you know the sound.

- they are quite vicious when they see things defile their forest, which usually ends in either death or serious injury

- they are able to detect sadness and often follow those who are in their darkest moods without mostly being seen

- their mildly horrifying appearance sometimes causes paranoia in those who see them

- this is mentioned in the ref sheet but their eyes flicker back and forth between being white & black at random, but their eyes are white 70% of the time (feel free to draw them with either color)

- they also have the ability to change into whatever color their background is to make them look mostly invisible but this is very hard to draw so i don't recommend this

- they received their name from the depressed teenager who noted their uncanny ability to detect sadness
