I like the feeling of this picture. I feels very calm and cheerful. I think how you drew the fore-hoof to be bigger than the back hoof was good since it's closer to the viewer. I would at least try to draw the other back hoof though, because the perspective seems a bit tilted up since the fore-hoof dips down lower than the rest of her and the visibilty of the neck can be seen. To me I think the neck is a bit too long, but if you had reduced it her face might not have been as visible due to the hoof. I barely noticed the neck problem though, and it doesn't seem to be one of those things most people will notice unless they're looking really into it. The body, back leg, and head look alright though. I would have made the ear a little bigger or longer, but that might be how you like to draw them. Just to add it a bit more I would have given a second line down her mane since that's how she is seen in the show and maybe a small indication of her tail. The tail would be optional since drawing it from this point of veiw can be pretty difficult. This is very nice very nice though, especially with the grass and flowers around her. For an artist just starting out I think you already have a really nice start.

Agreed on the neck, that's a bit of an issue for me. I never seem to draw the second stripe on her hair for some reason. And I've already changed the ear style (this is almost a year old by now). Odd that you didn't notice the rather weird perspective on the tree though
I don't quite like the word "artist" being applied to me since I don't think I deserve being called that.

Sorry, I just clicked up on the galery and it was what I first noticed. I did see the problem with the tree, but I felt it may have been too obvious.
My dictionary says an artist is someone who makes beautiful things. I think this looks really good. Don't look as art as something that can only be done by a small few, but by what you are willing to give to the paper/canvas/computer monitor. Good art is simply judged by opinions that can never agree on a specific level of skill. To some people they may look at it as a master piece. As my art teacher once put it, everyone can be a great artist, except for those that never try.

Well, even considering calling myself an artist makes me feel like the biggest pretentious prick this side of the pacific. I suppose it's a confidence thing.
Wish MY art teacher said something like that. Maybe I would have started drawing 10 rather than 1 year ago.

Hello, I hoped that you didn't mind, but when I saw this picture the other day I knew I needed to make a vector picture of it. I hope you like it.

I certainly don't mind it! And wow, never thought I'd ever see anyone doing anything with my drawings <3
