Description
Here is the completed hilt. Three Luxeon Rebels, 10.8 volts. Plus Sound. it was all nice and shiney, but i thought used and dirty looked better. So i took the new shiney lightsaber i just made and tossed it onto gravel, took a grinder to some spots, scorched other parts, then painted parts of it with grimey uneven black. The wear pattern of the black and silver would be where the lightsaber would be handled the most... you know... like someone dueling with it.here is a video of it: [link]
Oh, and I put a laser warning sticker on it. the sticker reads "Warning: do not attempt to sharpen blade"

Awesome work! That's one thing I'm still intimidated by and need to get over: weathering a shiny new hilt after working on it for the greater part of a week or more. lol

Thank you. I kept it shiny for a month. The nerve racking part was bashing it on rocks to make it look used.

O.o Ugh. You're dedicated. I'm fortunate enough to have some old rusty chains in the garage. If I built up the nerve, I'd throw mine in a bucket with the chains, put a lid on, and roll it down the driveway.
