Description
Awright, I was in the mood for a request yesterday, so this one, especially after getting a plea for help from the requestee, I decided on this little scrapper, a kangaroo rat kaiju dubbed Aero.Alright, I figured I would answer your cry for advice here. Shading is a very odd subject, but in the most practical way of saying it, keep in mind that what you are drawing is drawn to be in a three dimensional space. Through that, there are a lot of things to consider. One, shadows are obstuction of the path of light. Depending on where it's coming from and how powerful it is, whatever is in the way of the light creates a shadow behind it. Now, if it's the sun we're talking about, the sun is above us at all times, carving a path across the sky. Thus, if the sun is above us, a shadow will be below us. If light hits a certain point, everything behind it will cast a shadow. Most often, that would be areas the sun can't reach.
In the drawing above, note that he is shaded more behind his one ear, on the arm and leg farther back, and in between his arm and leg closer to us. That's the most basic lesson I can give.
Anyway, I didn't ever think about it, but Kangaroo rats have some pretty weaponizable traits. Power wise, he's a bit like Shrewster, which was a really cool monster.

It's a bit hard to see, and even harder to read the words. If I may, I would recommend user darker lines. I've been there with text not showing due to scanning, so I'd recommend using pen a little more, maybe inking the monster outline would help too. All in all, a great idea for a monster, just a little scarce in detail. And, I'm done for now

Sure, it's your creature. So long as credit is given where credit is due (i.e. this was first drawn by me), feel free to do what you will.
