Description Abilities:

-Bloodshot: Vosk's single large eye has multiple ducts, formerly used for tears, but now used to launch sprays of corroted blood at enemies, which can disorient opponents. It seems to be acidic as well, and can burn skin on contact, though it is not known if this is a merging of enzymes through oxygen contact or if Vosk's alien nature makes it immune to such a maneuver.

-Gastric Spray: Built largely from human proteins, the alien terror could use our most potent physical weapon, our stomach acid, with great effect. Spraying a green acidic mist from its thorax, Vosk could kill entire armies within seconds.

-Platelet Injection: The saliva-like fluid secreted around the tail mouths and thoracic cavity were mostly made up of platelets and dead skin, and when biting an enemy could inject these into their bodies, causing organ failure in organic targets. If it had battled an organic kaiju, this likely could have spelled their end.

-Aggirim Cells: A shapeshifting creature, Vosk could assimilate anything organic in its path to sustain its life force, growing bigger and stronger in the process, and with time smarter and more streamlined.

Noted Weaknesses:

-Shambler: Though this was believed to be temporary, Vosk was incapable of higher level strategizing, wildly attacking everything in sight. It was easy to trick, but impossible to kill for the technology of the time.

-Poor Defense: Vosk's skin is barely thicker than a human's would be at that size, and covered in blood vessels. In short, no hit is a glancing one, and it's possible to gravely wound the creature with minimal effort.

Description: Of the two monsters that battled in Russia in 1961, the alien Vosk was definitely the more grotesque. Though its origins were far more obscure, Dr. Frank Seltzer believed that the truth behind the ocular terror was shrouded in secrecy but still quite established. He believed, as he said after The Edge invaded, that Vosk was one of their infamous Aggirim, horrid chimera born of an alien virus, sent to prospective planets to gather DNA from the locals and give the alien leaders data on how life functioned there. Vosk's Aggirim virus strain landed, according to Seltzer, in the infamous Dyatlov Pass, where in 1959 it assimilated a group of hiker's DNA in surprising ways. Rather than killing them, the virus took pieces of them required to survive as humans, namely brain, heart, and tongue matter, and over two years sent information back via pre-programmed psionic messages. The top brass covered up the incident with plenty of cover stories and censorship of any attempt to open the case, but it was inevitable, what happened next.

The Edge, though it took 2 years for the messages to get back and forth, sent back word to begin gathering more samples, and Vosk began attacking Russia. The alien at first resembled a massive worm of assembled human parts, and though the Soviet Military inflicted grievous wounds upon it, believing to have killed it at one point, it would regrow the wounds and destroy those who attacked it, assimilating their DNA into its bulk. By the time it was more than 100 feet tall, the Soviets began discussing more extreme measures, even so far as nuking the creature. Ironically there was little dispute, the creature could destroy the planet in a matter of months, after all, and with a giant hostile robot living in the Taiga, escaping detection as well, they seemed to have little choice.

Ironically, Dystrov was what saved the people of Russia, in the end. The beasts, weapons built by two different cosmic forces for similar reasons, clashed in the remote wilderness, robotic precision and weaponry versus alien genetics and warped anatomy. The two tore into one another, severing limbs, breaking bones, melting circuits, until at one point Dystrov scored a lucky blow by ripping out one of the alien shapeshifter's rib-jaws and with it pierced its one eye. Vosk, terrified and in coherent, human pain, flew northward, hoping to escape detection and freeze itself, keeping in contact with The Edge until their arrival, as this was all it knew. It did not expect the cosmobot to follow, or the massive bomb that soon followed, swallowing them both up in a hellish blaze.

It is almost universally believed the beast known as Vosk passed away after that, but given the hardy nature of the Aggirim virus, some think it may just appear again. One thing is certain, though, The Edge must have gotten enough information about earth to be able to invade it...

Yep, I finished two bios in two days, On fire, I am. This is Vosk, the first hint at a really big evil to emerge in Dark Hours.

Unlike Dystrov, Vosk's design took me the better part of a month to refine. I wanted something that homaged The Thing first and foremost, and human chimera are really hard to do. They require a fine balance of creepy asymnetry and simplicity, which can go real wrong real fast, but upon arriving at this look he slowly began to feel right to me. There are tones of Pathogen, the Vok from TF, and a few others in him as well, which works well in his case. Sorry if these bios seem a bit barebones, but I didn't have as much time to write them out as normal, so they'll have to do. I will definitely write out their story in more detail some day, though, its too fun not to.

All right, Crim out for now, have a good weekend everybody!

He certainly looks more huggable than the Thing.

If you want that hug I won't stop you. Granted, I don't think he'd ever let you go...

I think you beat MM to the whole Human Mutation kaiju thingie (well, his centipede idea anyway). Either way, this is a interesting, if not outright disgusting, kaiju. It's pretty cool.

I've heard at least two people plan human chimera kaiju before, but far as I've gone I've never seen one on here so I guess you're right. Who knows, someone else probably has something.

Thanks for the good word, I was hoping he'd raise disgust, and hey, my girlfriend found the drawing gross before I even told her what it was or what it was made of so I guess that's a victory.

The only "human" kaiju I have is Hodagrius, but more so that he's a human turned into a dinosaurian-ish werewolf. However, I have toyed with the idea of a human kaiju. Nothing strange like yours, just a gigantic human.

That could be true.

Welcome, and I'm surprise she didn't dump you after seeing it.

A pinnacle of all that is grossly disturbing when taken out of context regarding the human body...except perhaps the genitals which Hedorah does a smashing job of lol.

Indeed, the genitals are the only way I could have gone farther and believe me I considered it with the tail. In the end I decided he was grotesque enough, but hey, there's always the possibility of a return.

No... NO! IT CAN'T BE! Your dead, Thing, dead! No!(runs) BURN IT WITH FIRE! BURN IT!

Have I mentioned my fear of "The Thing"?

So much wrong here that it is right. It is grotesque, it is weird, it is butt-ugly, it is... my mom! ..not really, but boy what a horrific monster. This guy, and Pathogen... are my nightmare.

Fear of The Thing is one of the most sane, rational thoughts you could ever have.

Glad to hear he gave you that impression, I worked hard arriving at something that gave that impression.
