Description

I realized that lately I've become lazy with my lighting and camera work. I was recently inspired by Ryselle-3D 's bold use of light, color and shadow to re-examine my own works.  I'm using Iray, should use those fancy lights for something.

Thanks Ryselle!

Nicely done, and the use of the lighting is fantastic here.

Normally, leaving that much empty (no person) space would be a mistake, but it works here. Between the dramatic colors and the sense of repose just before action, it works (that and the fact Peregrine is looking toward the empty space, because it would not work if she'd been facing the other way). The trichrome effect actually unifies the image. The pic is about the whole impression, not about Peregrine herself

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think today was maybe only the third or fourth time I've actually used lighting beyond the default. And only the second time successfully

Thank you so much!

As for the lights, I forgot how much I enjoy lighting scenes. It can be a lot of fun. There are some great tutorials on the three light setup that might get you started?
