I especially like those checkered diagonals on the stairs (the shadows). They provide a line from the woman to the dog to the folks walking away. Very strong composition (it could still use minor tweaks, but these were probably beyond your control).

Very strong street photograph. Love the balance of the guys on the left with the dog and woman on the right. The stairs create such a great look with the railings and shadows detached by them. Just a really great sense of the moment here.

Not sure the exact breed, but bull dogs are great for pictures I was hoping to get the second dog too, but he was too close to the outside of the frame; his expression was priceless, check this link for the original shot: [link]
