Information: Having married at the age of 19, Kawazoe Yuuka (previously Natsuone Yuuka) expected to live a quiet life, caring for her husband and house hold. Her husband, Kawazoe Kazuma, was a strong, powerful warrior who worked for the local Shoganate. A year after their marriage, the Kawazoe’s had their first son, whom they named Ichiro. This happy family would soon be rocked when the local powers crumbled and fights broke out among all walks of peoples who sought power. Being a simple man, Kazuma backed away from the power struggle and began working as a sword for hire, a mercenary samurai. Life continued as such until 3 years later when a new addition was added to the family. Little Tsukune was born and completed the Kawazoe family. Life continued as normal for 4 more years, Yuuka stayed at home, doing what every good wife would do, caring for the boys (including her husband), chatting with the neighbors, and generally running the house. Recently however, ill-fortune has struck the Kawazoe family…

After a harrowing battle, Kazuma was injured and broke his right leg. As one would figure, a samurai can’t very well fight with a broken leg, and he became home bound. While being stuck at home, poor Kazuma caught a very potent cold and has been unable to get well. And, being as it were, they are not rich people… someone has to make money.

Thusly, Yuuka decided to take her husband’s place in the work force. After all, when Mr. Hiroshi was ill, HIS wife took his place in the rice fields! Of course, there is a bit of a difference in working in a rice field and swinging a sword at another person. Never the less, Yuuka took up her husband’s sword, the Gatsu no Kiba, and plunged head first into the world of warrior’s for hire.

Fighting Style: Before picking up the sword for real combat purposes, she was trained in the traditional style of Kendo from ages 6 to 10. However, that did not last long as she began practicing Tai Chi from an old man that originated from the main land (China). Having trained in weaponless Tai Chi for nearly 18 years has made Yuuka into a formidable foe due to her ability to completely control her movements and the ‘force’ she exerts when performing various attacks. Also, she has mastered the Tai Chi skill of using your opponent’s strength against them, rather than clashing head on, she will merely divert the flow of their force/power(really that means their momentum) to dodge or retaliate quickly. Secondly, through a brief crash course from her husband Kazuma, Yuuka ‘learned’ to use his katana for killing purposes… Of course, Yuuka will avoid killing if she can. “Blood is so hard to wash out of clothing; especially this diamond weaved cotton that I just purchased.” – Kawazoe Yuuka

Special Abilities: Intense Multi-tasking! She also always smiles, unnerving her enemies. Hence the title, ‘Samurai of the Motherly Smile’.

Reason for joining the SDL: “It mentioned Samurai’s. I suppose that means it has to do with Samurai’s… So I joined to do the things that Samurai do. I wonder if Kazuma would have joined this…”
