Description

Soooooo... It looks like I'm not just into Kirby. I like the games a lot but there are other game franchises I'm interested in like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mother (Man, that's a lot of Nintendo games...)
And then there are games like A Hat in Time, Cave Story and... Undertale. To be completely honest I really enjoyed the game and I feel like I can finally express my love for it without being shoehorned in the bad side of the Fanbase.
These are not really complicated, I lack experience with pixel art so they are pretty simple. I tried to capture the style of the game but giving it my own spin. They are also a lot more detailed.
Something that always annoyed me is the oversimplification of the overworld sprites. Some of them really looked off. (I'm not saying that my sprites are better)
The characters are positioned in order of appearence in the game.

Frisk: I based their sprite around another one because my first sprite was terrible... I feel bad now. If the original artist is bothered by it I will change their sprites.
Flowey: I think that this sprite looks good. I based it on his battle sprite and is height is not even that off.
Toriel: I tried to emulate the original sprite of her but I can't make hands... She looks motherly and cute that's a good thing. I noticed that Toriel's mouth is slightly on her left side in the original sprite. That always bothered me.
Dummy: I just had to resize the sprite. Nothing really hard.
Napstablook: They should be the fifth character I created. Pretty simple character.
Sans: One of the earliest sprites. He changed a lot overtime. The red pixels on his shirt is ketchup.
Papyrus: The second oldest sprite. He got redesigned the most. He used to have cheekbones but they didn't look good on this sprite. I'm happy I removed them.
Jerry: He is the joke characters. I gave him a sprite because I like the way he looks.
Annoying Dog: Bark Bark, Wof. Dog!
Monster Kid: His sprite is super weird. It shows the horns on the right side of his head but based on the other sprites they are actually at the center... I decided to fix that.
Undyne (Armor): The last sprite I made... This armor intimidated me but I eventually made it... And I'm glad that I did. It doesn't even look half bad.
Mystery Man: The very first sprite. I did it for fun and then it started this never ending cycle of sprites. I took some liberties with him and he is the least faithful to his original sprite.
Shyren: Was really easy to make. I just resized her sprite.
Mad Dummy: A slight edit of the normal Dummy.
Temmie: I had fun recreating it. They are so silly-looking.
Undyne: Her hands were a bit problematic but I think I got them right.
Riverperson: They are the least faithful to they original desing actually... They were too simple for my taste so I gave them a new look.
Alphys: She was annoying to make... Her proportion was hard to figure out, her hands were a disaster and I had to adjust her spike-hair-thingie to conform with the rest of her sprites.
Mettaton (Box Form): His body was super simple, his arms and hands... Not so much.
Muffet: She was very quick to make. Her multiple arms posed quite the challenge but I managed to fix her. She draws a lot of inspiration from her battle sprite.
Mettaton (EX Form): I used the battle sprite as the main inspiration for the body and head. I also noticed that Mettaton has very long arms, even longer than his legs.
Asgore: He was made around the time Toriel was finished. He was fine for a long period of time until he became shorter than Mettaton EX. I increased his height and I think he is perfect now.
Asriel: I had another version that sucked but this one is so cute. He looks so sweet. He is also one of the shortest characters.
Asriel (God of Hyper Death): He is a shorter recolor of Toriel. Despite that, he doesn't look bad.
Asgore (Flower shirt): He was harder than regular Asgore because I had to create a body shape and arms.
Toriel (Teacher attire): Another simple recolor of Toriel. Moving on.
Chara: A recolor of Frisk with different eyes and expressions. They also have another hairstyle. I have another variation with dotted eyes like the original.
Chara (Scary Face): I think I captured the feel of the original quite well.
[Redacted]: A weird sprite. It was very easy to recreate... I made it because this is actually the closest thing to W.D. Gaster.

Bonus*
Varik: The main character of Toby Fox's Earthbound Halloween Hack! He is a cool guy but I will be honest: I used Papyrus as a base sprite for him. He looks pretty different though.

I'm really proud of how they turned out. My favorite has to be Mettaton in Both forms. I dunno they just look right. Muffet, Asriel and Flowey are good-looking too.

The characters that are not here right now like the Dog unit, the secret bosses, RG1 and RG2, the shopkeepers or some of the minor NPCs like Grillby (Only god knows why he is so popular...) Gaster's followers, Goner Kid, Onion San, the Nice Cream Guy, etc...

Undertale Sprites Ripped by the good fellas of the Sprite Resourcer (Mainly JamminJelly and The Herp Derpinator who is also responsible for the custom God of Hyperdeath sprite), the base pose for the human children was made by LolGamerYOLO (If you are interested in real sprite artwork) and Varik who was ripped by Leviathan4041.

Undertale and the Halloween Hack were made by Toby Fox. The original Earthbound was made by Nintendo and Hal Labs.
