Makosh - the ancient Slavic goddess of fate, fertility and family hearth (family happiness).
In her hands are concentrated the threads of the lives of all living beings (including the gods).
Makosh was also revered as the goddess of divination and magic, the patroness of the sacred wells and points of power.
This is a clear allegorical image of the female component of the universe (male - Svarog). In some, the source is mistakenly referred to as the wife of Veles
(in fact, from the creation of the world and is still the wife of the blacksmith of Svarog).
